Inspired by a true story, 1 Imam 2 Makmum explores the emotional journey of Anika (Amanda Manopo) in her marriage to Arman (Fedi Nuril), a widower who still holds a deep love for his late wife, Leila (Revalina S. Temat), who passed away four years earlier. Entering the marriage with hopes for a happy future, Anika is met with unexpected heartbreak—sleeping apart, Arman’s reluctance to lead prayers as an imam, and discovering that his room remains a shrine to Leila’s memory.
Can a man truly love two women—one who stands by him in the present, and one who lingers in the past? And can Anika continue to love and remain loyal to Arman, even when she feels like she’s living in the shadow of a ghost?
